Financial Support for HE – are you eligible?
The National Scholarship Programme (NSP) starts in September 2012 and provides financial help to students studying in higher education in England.
Uxbridge can offer a limited number of match funded scholarships in the form of fee support for years 1 and 2 of the course starting in September 2012. Eligible students need to fulfill the following minimum criteria set by the College:
- Students must be applying for a full or part-time higher education course for entry in 2012/13
- Students must have residual family incomes of less than £25,000
- Priority will be given to care leavers.
If the College receives more applications than available scholarships then further criteria will need to be applied. Decisions on who will receive the scholarship will therefore also be based on:
- Students progressing from courses within the College
- Student’s commitment to study. Students will be required to write about their level of commitment to study as part of the application process.
If you receive this kind of support under NSP, your tuition fee loans will be adjusted accordingly.
