Sports students from Uxbridge College were part of the action when Mayor of London Boris Johnson opened the new £31m Hillingdon Sport and Leisure Complex.
The state-of-the-art complex in Uxbridge, which features the first 50m Olympic-sized swimming pool to be built in London for more than 45 years, was opened on 23 March.
The National Diploma in Sport students took part in activities led by lecturer Martina Ashton throughout the morning, including circuits, spinning and gym work. Their activities helped showcase the facilities on offer.
The multi-million pound complex has been developed to provide sports facilities for all training opportunities for aspiring athletes. It sits alongside a refurbished grade II listed open-air pool.
