Chefs will prepare a delicious lunch for Mothering Sunday

Treat your mum on Sunday 3 April – MOTHERING SUNDAY - to a delicious lunch cooked by trainee chefs, wonderful service and that all important bit….no washing up or tidying up at the end.

This event at the not-for-profit Lifestyles restaurant at the Hayes Community Campus, part of Uxbridge College, gives students the chance to practise their skills while the public can enjoy the results of their work.

The special menu includes:

Cream of tomato & basil soup with herb croutons

Terrine of salmon, dill crème frâiche and pickled vegetables

Chicken liver pate, toast & butter with orange salad

Cheese & roasted shallot tart with baby leaf salad

Roast supreme of chicken stuffed with Boursin, fondant potato, grilled cherry tomatoes, red wine & mushroom sauce

Pan fried fillet of sea bass, chive risotto, roasted vegetables and a red pepper coulis

Char-grilled lamb patties, slow roasted garlic mash, fine beans with a redcurrant and rosemary sauce

Char-grilled 6oz sirloin steak, chilli and coriander butter, fat chips and onion rings

Spinach & ricotta gnocchi on a bed of ratatouille with Parmesan shavings and basil oil
