Uxbridge College, in partnership with Uxbridge Forward, has launched a new Business Club dedicated to locally-based businesses, which meets in the central Uxbridge location The Skills Store.
Members of the club receive a range of benefits and incentives to help them support and grow their businesses.
The club’s first event, attended by a number of businesses, on the theme Get Your Business Social Networking was presented by Gary Barnes, Director of West Street Marketing, who specialises in social media and works with clients including Madame Tussauds, London Dungeon, London Eye and Sea Life.
Employers including Metro Bank, Optical Warehouse, PPI Recruitment Ltd, The Akshaya Patra Foundation and Parkside Health attended the launch.
Lorraine Collins, Executive Director – Enterprise and Development at Uxbridge College said: “Uxbridge College has an established reputation for supporting businesses in a wide range of ways, including providing high-quality skills training, helping them fill vacancies, and working with them to ensure all our qualifications are in line with their needs. We are delighted to be joining forces with Uxbridge Forward to consolidate and expand this work through the Business Club. Enquiries from any employer interested in joining – or finding out more about what else is on offer to them through Uxbridge College – are very welcome.”

During 2012 a range of events will include:
* Monthly seminars on a range of topics
* Networking opportunities
* Free use of central Uxbridge location The Skills Store for business activities such as meetings
* Access to advice and support from Uxbridge College and Uxbridge Forward
* Assistance with advertising and recruiting for vacancies.
The membership cost for the rest of 2012 is £25.
