- Candidates must have a full achievement of AAT Level 2 or have equivalent accounting knowledge.
Who is the course for
This course is for accountancy staff who wish to gain a professional qualification and students progressing from Level 2.Course Content
The course is made up of the following units:- Accounts preparation 1
- Accounts preparation 2
- Cash management
- Costs and revenue
- Indirect tax
- Spreadsheets
- Professional ethics in accountancy and finance administration.
- IFS Certificate in Personal Finance.
Study Methods
The emphasis is on practical, work- based situations, with the aim of improving students theoretical understanding of bookkeeping and accounts, and to reinforce learning with simulated workplace assignments. In addition to College attendance, students must be prepared to commit at least five hours per week.How is the course assessed
There is a computer based exam for each of the units.In addition there will be three exams for the IFS Personal Finace qualification.
Previous completion of similar units could be accredited.
