Entry Requirements
- No formal entry requirements are required but applicants should have a reasonable command of written and spoken English, and achieve at least Entry 3 in initial literacy tests as well as basic numeracy skills
- You will be expected to present a varied portfolio of creative work and demonstrate that you are interested in art & design as a possible future career.
Who is the course for
This one year introductory Foundation Learning course in art & design is for those students who wish to develop their creative work across a range of disciplines.Course Content
The course consists of four main art & design projects and alongside these you will also study Functional Skills in English and follow a programme in personal and social development.You will learn about:
- Drawing and painting
- Graphic design
- Print making
- Textiles
- 3D design
- Health and safety
- The work of other artists,designers and crafts people.

The course is continually assessed against units of study. Competence must be proved in all areas of study before the full award is granted.Where next - Further Studies
