“I’ve been at Uxbridge College for three years and I don’t want to leave! I like the practical side best but I like the theory too, it can be really interesting. You also learn about how to talk to clients – we want them to have a good experience so they are happy and come back. It’s nice meeting new people and you get practice with real clients in the College salons.
You get more independence than you do at school and you have to rely on yourself more – I have enjoyed having more responsibility. When I finish my Level 3 I would like to work as a mobile beauty therapist and part-time in a salon, then open my own business in a few years time.”
