C&G Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Beauty Therapy (3007-02)
You need to have an interest in and an enthusiasm for beauty therapy and a good work ethic. You will be interviewed to assess your suitability for the course. GCSEs grade D (grade 3) in English and maths are desirable.
Who is the course for
For those who wish to develop their skills for a career in the beauty therapy industry.
Course units include:
- Manicure and pedicure
- Facial therapy
- Eye treatments
- Health and safety
- Reception duties
- Retail and promotion
- Customer relations
- Basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
You will carry out treatments on
members of the public working in our College salons.
Theory and practical study working in a realistic salon environment and practise a range of treatments on paying customers.
How is the course assessed
Assessment is by a range of methods including assignments, independent written assessments, oral questions and on-going practical assessments.
You are expected to demonstrate 100% competency in all assessments. Self study and independent research is essential.
You will be expected to keep a portfolio of evidence, which includes all your work and will be internally and externally verified.

Level 3 Advanced Technical Diploma in Beauty & Spa Therapy, C&G Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Theatrical, Special Effects Hair & Media Make-up or an Advanced Apprenticeship in Beauty Therapy.
