  • Successful completion of a Foundation Learning course, in a related subject, including English and mathematics.
or
  • Four GCSEs or equivalent at grade D, including English and mathematics.
or
  • City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma with English and mathematics at Level 2.

Who is the course for

This course is for students who are interested in computer hardware and possess no previous hardware knowledge and students who wish to gain an intermediate level of IT knowledge.

Course Content

The course is made up of a series of modules:
  • Health and safety in ICT and contact centres
  • Develop personal & organisational effectiveness
  • Customer care
  • Software installation & upgrade
  • System operation
  • Working with ICT hardware and equipment
  • System management
  • Work experience
Functional Skills are an embedded feature of the course and will enable learners to improve and achieve higher grades in numeracy, literacy and information technology.
