Pearson BTEC Level 4 HNC Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (Part-Time)
One A Level either in maths, physics or engineering with grade A*-C or BTEC Level 3 Diploma at merit, pass or Extended Diploma at merit, pass, pass in Electrical/Electronic Engineering. You should have the unit 'maths for engineering technicians' at grade merit or above.
You should have GCSEs in English, maths and science (A*-C) or equivalent.
You will take a College test involving maths and general science/engineering.

Who is the course for
This 2 year part-time course is for those who wish to develop higher levels of technical competence as required by senior technicians, technical engineers or incorporated engineers.
- Analytical methods for engineers
- Engineering science
- Project design, implementation and evaluation.
Specialist units include:
- Combinational and sequential logic
- Electronic principles
- Utilisation of electrical energy
- Data communications and networks
- Further mathematics for technicians
After successful completion of the programme the students can progress to the HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering at the College.
Mixture of theory by lectures/teaching, practicals and simulations with 7 contact hours. Student are expected to complete approximately 7 hours per week of independent study (i.e. on research and completing assignments). Learners will get two formative (submitted before deadline) and two summative feedbacks.

Assessment by combination of practical, simulation and exams based on assessment criteria for each unit.

Go on to the BTEC Level 5 HND Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering at Uxbridge College or study at university for a degree qualification.

The course will prepare students for positions of responsibility in the Electrical and Electronic Engineering industries.
Students will attend college on Thursday between 9am - 5pm.
