Entry Requirements
One A Level in mathematics, physics or electronic systems (or similar) with grade C or above.or
BTEC National Diploma / BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (180 credits) with at least Merit, Merit, Merit and merit grade in Mathematics for Engineering Technicians.
Students with other relevant qualifications or mature students with appropriate industry experience will be considered individually.
All applicants should have studied GCSE or equivalent in English, mathematics and science; with grade C or above in mathematics.
All applicants will take an internal college test which involves maths and general science / engineering.
Who is the course for
This course is for those who wish to develop higher levels of technical competence as required by senior technicians, technical engineers or incorporated engineers.Course Content
This course comprises of 120 credits of which 50 are mandatory and 70 credits are from five specialist units.A maximum of 30 credits at Level 3, and a minimum of 65 credits at Level 4 and a maximum of 55 credits at Level 5.

- Analytical methods for Engineers
- Engineering science
- Project design, implementation and evaluation
- Combinational and sequential logic
- Electronic principles
- Utilisation of electrical energy
- Business management techniques for engineers
- Further mathematics for technicians
Study Methods
Lectures, laboratory/ practical work, assignments, presentations, projects.How is the course assessed
Assessment is through assignments together with unit or section tests. After successful completion of the programme the students can progress to the HND or the second year at University of West London in Electrical/Electronic EngineeringWhere next - Further Studies
