“When I came to Uxbridge College I knew very little English but I have learned so much. When I finish my English course and pre-GCSE studies in maths, science, history and geography I want to do another course here – there are many choices.
My teachers have been very helpful and I’ve also learned from my friends. We all talk in English in our breaks, and help each other if we make a mistake. I’ve also learned by talking to people here who speak English as a first language. I like being able to read in English, if I find a newspaper on a bus I pick it up, and I enjoy reading books. I also write letters and emails to my friends, which helps me improve my written communication. I like it at Uxbridge College, the teachers are helpful, the people are friendly and in your free time there is a lot to do such as playing pool, or watching television in the student lounge.”

We understand the challenges facing students from a huge range of cultural and social backgrounds – and know how to put you on the road to success. We have a wide variety of courses at a range of levels.
Our ESOL courses provide students with essential English skills and are suitable for those with no or very little English. At the College's most recent Ofsted inspection our ESOL courses were graded as outstanding.
Our EFL courses are suitable for students that have some knowledge of the English language. We offer courses from elementary level to advanced level. Our EFL courses are accredited by the British Council. The minimum age for students on these courses is 18 years old and there is a maximum of 24 students in each class.
