Who is the course for
This course is for anyone whose first language is not English, who is interested in accounting and may want to progress to mainstream courses or improve their job opportunities.Course Content
Students will study English Language as well as AAT course units.Students will gain a vocational qualification at an appropriate level. The course is made up of the following units:
- Numeracy
- Recording income and receipts
- Making and recording payments
- Preparing ledger balances and initial trial balances
- Working with computers
- Business English
- Functional Skills in IT and mathematics.
Study Methods
How is the course assessed
The course is assessed through a combination of progress tests and written and practical assignments in all subject areas.Students are prepared for a qualification in ESOL, which the student must pass to successfully complete the course.
100% attendance is very important to complete the course and for a chance to move on next year.
