Fashion
"I've always been interested in fashion. I made clothes for my dolls when I was quite little, my gran had been a dressmaker and she taught me to sew. Now I have better skills, the way I work is quite different - much more clean-cut and professional.
The designers Viktor & Rolf really inspire me and I've developed my style a lot since coming to college. In the first year you learn the basics of pattern cutting and using the sewing machine, as well as how to research a project and put a sketch book together. The final pieces are always different to the ideas in my head - you learn from people around you, the tutors and technicians, and the designs always come out better because of it.
I want to go to university and become a designer. I've done work experience in the New Look press office, seeing clothes which haven't been released yet, meeting stylists, and finding out more about the industry. I was involved in a catwalk show and it is amazing to see your designs out there -well worth the hard work."
