Now the HND Diploma in Computing & Systems Development - Games Development Pathway

“When I was looking for courses I went to a few colleges but Uxbridge looked the best.  The facilities looked new and the course progression was good. I originally applied for a BTEC National Diploma in Software Development but when I came to enrol I found out that there was a games development pathway available and I was offered a place on that.

After completing that I progressed onto the HND in Interactive Media, which is now the Level 5 HND Diploma in Computing and Systems Development - Games Development Pathway and I have studied programming, Flash, 3D modelling, designing games and environments plus visual effects and CGI.  I am doing a lot of work on my own games and building my portfolio to prepare me for the final year of a degree at Bournemouth University or possibly to go into a job.

We have good teachers who have brought a lot of their experience into their teaching, which is useful as we know what we’ve got to aim for.  They are professional, really interactive and help us with what we need so we can get better.  They also have lots of links with industry which keeps us up to date. 
I’ve told lots of people to come to Uxbridge College.  I have been here for four years so it must be good and I have got good grades to prove that it works!”
