Entry Requirements
Level 3 qualification, or equivalent, in a computer related subjector
A minimum of one A Level in mathematics, physics, engineering science, computer science, electronic systems or similar
- Supporting GCSE passes including satisfactory competence in English & mathematics. Students with appropriate educational/ technical background (e.g. Advanced GNVQ/NVQ, other qualifications, such as science/technology, Access courses) will be considered individually if they can show commitment and potential.
Who is the course for
This course is for those who wish to pursue a career in multimedia, computer graphics or visual effects. Students will be taught how to use industry-standard tools and techniques to prepare them for this exciting and lucrative field.Course Content
This is a two year programme, which requires the successful completion of 16 units. There are four mandatory core units, together with 12 specialist units.Mandatory units:

- Employability & professional development
- Project design, implementation and evaluation.
- 2D, 3D and time-based digital applications
- Procedural programming
- Mathematics for software development
- 3D computer modelling and animation
- Interactive media technology
- Object oriented programming
- Data structures and algorithms
- Digital image creation and development
- Computer games design and development
- New technologies in interactive media
- Digital video postproduction and editing
- Video production.
