“The teachers are really good here, they help you with your work and you learn different things every day.· I like the practical side best, but the theory helps with that too.· For example, you have to be able to work out what the result will be when you mix colour, it requires quite a lot of knowledge.· Every client is different, you learn that not everyone has the same kind of hair or skin and you need a different approach depending on the person.
I worked in a salon for a while full-time and picked up a lot there, I learn a lot from observing.· Every teacher here has experience in the industry and a different style of teaching, so you learn different things from different people.”
Students will be highly trained to be the capable creative hairdressers of the future and with fast-moving fashions, the range of treatments offered in our salons is constantly changing and growing. Teaching staff have extensive industry experience and many still work closely with, or own their own salons. They can share their experience and knowledge and provide useful tips to prepare you for a career in hairdressing and give you the skills you need to succeed.
