Travel & Tourism
"My ambition when I finish the course is to go to university and study international travel and tourism management, and do a language degree alongside it. I'm working in a hotel restaurant part-time and have become interested in hotel management as a result, so may work in that part of the industry. The course is interesting and covers all aspects of travel and tourism including the cruise sector, marketing, handling air passengers, and how tour operators and travel agents work.
As part of our studies we go on trips abroad, it is fun but it’s hard work as well – you take on the role of a holiday rep, welcoming guests and putting on entertainment. You can go straight into a job after taking this course, but I want a degree because it gives you more career options. All our teachers have worked in the industry and they’re really helpful. There’s a friendly atmosphere here – it’s a good place to be.”
Our links with major industry players has resulted in many students getting good jobs and businesses have recruited directly from our courses, sure in the knowledge our training provides the skills their staff need.
Experienced staff have worked in a variety of roles and provide you with practical advice and support to help you achieve your qualification. Students can progress into good jobs and also study at a higher level to gain an HND or degree
