Course Areas
The world of industry and commerce is rapidly and constantly changing. It offers exhilarating challenges and high rewards for those with imagination, vision and the capacity to work hard. Uxbridge College can help you gain all the skills you need for a successful career with our HE courses.
We have forged strong links with companies throughout the region and the courses we offer have been designed to match the skills needs of these companies. Many of our tutors are drawn from local industry and have a wealth of experience and contacts to give practical help to our students to enable them to get real hands-on skills.
Courses available for include:
- Higher National Diplomas/Certificates
- Foundation Degrees
- PGCE
Higher National Diplomas/Certificates
Uxbridge College Higher National Diploma (HND) and Higher National Certificate (HNC) qualifications are near to degree level and were previously only available at universities and higher education establishments. They have been designed with career development in mind, and most people go on to take a degree or professional course at university.
HND courses are studied on a full-time basis, usually over two years. However, recognising that full-time study for mature students may conflict with existing commitments, alternative HNC courses are available.
Foundation Degrees
Foundation degrees are aimed at those students who wish to progress beyond Level 3 and gain a professional qualification within two years.
Teacher Education for the Post Compulsory Sector (16+)
Uxbridge College offers courses to help gain nationally recognised teacher training qualifications, including DTLLS which leads on to fully qualified status for the sector.
We work with University of Westminster to deliver the DTLLS (Attendance Mode) and The University of Greenwich to deliver the DTLLS (Distance/Flexible Mode) course.
