How to Apply

At Uxbridge College we welcome applications all year round from all over the world. When you are ready to apply, you will need to complete an application form and submit a number of documents to help support your application. Please note that if you are applying for a Higher Education course, you will need to apply through the UCAS system www.ucas.com. For all other courses, please click here to apply.

Students applying from an EU (European Union) country will be classified as 'home' students. If you are unsure of whether you fall into the 'home' or 'overseas' category, the UK Council for International Student Affairs can offer advice and guidance.

Application documents

Once we have received your form we will request the following documents from you:

• Copies of all relevant qualifications. UK Naric can also help provide information and advice about qualifications from all over the world by comparing your qualifications to UK qualifications.

• Evidence of English language if you do not have an equivalent to GCSE English. We accept IELTS with an overall score of 6.0 with no less than 5.5 in each sub-section. To find a test centre near you, please visit the British Council website www.britishcouncil.org.
  
  
• An academic reference from your current or most recent place of study. If you have left school some time ago a CV will be required with details of any work experience.
  
  
• A short (one side A4 page) handwritten Personal Statement outlining why you wish to study in the UK and on your chosen course, what learning outcomes you are working towards and what your plans are for the future.
  
  
• A copy of your passport (main page with your passport number).

If you are applying from within the UK, you may also be invited to attend an interview and/or entry test.

Offers

Once an offer is made, we will issue you with a conditional letter requesting a deposit to secure your place. On receipt of this deposit we will issue you a Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies (CAS) number. You will need this number when applying for a student visa.
