Salary in the range of £24,683 - £26,234 per annum including London weighting
We are seeking to appoint a Media Technician to support students and staff within our School of Creative Studies. We have a 60 Mac networked station and our students use the latest software such as CS3 including Photoshop, Indesign, Flash and Dreamweaver and use Final Cut Pro for all their final projects.
Responsibilities of the post include supporting and training students in the use of media hardware and software, ensuring that equipment is serviced and repaired where necessary and tracking equipment usage. You would also maintain all Mac related networked and standalone devices, install and configure hardware and software and provide first line support to end users on all Mac related hardware and operating software issues.
You should possess a minimum of Level 4 qualification in IT or a media technology related subject area and have good working knowledge of Apple Mac operating systems (including Mac OS9 and OSX operating systems) and experience of Final Cut Pro edit software. You should also be well-organised with good communication skills and be able to work flexibly when required.
