Combine your studies with your love of sport.
The Uxbridge College sports department has been successfully managing the college’s Sports Academy for students aged 16-18 years old since 2000, which began with just a footballprogramme. Since 2000 we have added basketball, cricket, rugby and netball programmes, which are all linked with local clubs and all displaying high levels of success.
The main purpose of the Sports Academy is to provide the opportunity for our students to pursue both a sporting and academic career, ensuring a high quality sporting programme coinciding with high quality education at an outstanding college. This is what sets our Sports Academy apart from other programmes.
Students follow a full-time academic programme whilst training and competing to a good standard, developing their playing ability and fitness levels alongside their career prospects. We have had a number of successful Sports Academy graduates progressing to professional, semi-professional and national league clubs in the UK as well as gaining scholarships to American universities, including several playing professionally in the USA (MLS) and Brazil.
If you are aged 16-18 we can help you achieve your sporting potential and at the same time get a first class academic qualification at an ‘outstanding’ college. Benefits include:
- High quality coaching
- First-class training facilities
- Compete in inter-college league matches.
- Opportunity to gain coaching qualifications
