As part of the celebrations Level 3 Catering & Hospitality student Nishanthini Rasanathan - who practices Classical Indian Dance in her spare time - gave a dance performance. Guests were also served canapés made by students.
James Orford, Section Manager of Catering and Hospitality, said: "These awards recognised some of the impressive achievements of our talented, hard-working young chefs. Because these young people serve meals to the public every day they are constantly working at professional level and have to learn how to do things properly and learn quickly. The standards they achieve are borne out in the kind of jobs they go on to do - we were delighted to see Glenn Bunce back and to hear more about his work at the prestigious RAC Club, where recent guests have included Her Majesty the Queen."
