Fashion students showcased their work in a catwalk show at The Chimes shopping centre in Uxbridge. Designers in their final year of the BTEC National Diploma in Fashion at Uxbridge College created outfits especially for the event, held in the busy centre in October.
Pieces by Lauren Steel, Francesca Stec, Elizabeth Alouch, Chloe Davies and Monika Sharma, were modelled alongside the latest autumn/winter trends from the centre's stores.
Jayne Weeks, Section Manager in Art, Design and Media at Uxbridge College, said: "For our students, seeing their designs on display in the public arena was a really great experience. You only have to look at how many clothes shops there are in Uxbridge alone to see the number of opportunities there are in the creative industries. And BTECs not only equip students with useful practical skills for employment, but also offer a route into university."
