Models take to the catwalk wearing students' creations.Eye-catching collections by Uxbridge College students hit the catwalk at the end of year fashion show.
The pieces by BTEC Fashion students, modelled by friends, went on show as part of the College’s Creative Week.
The designers took inspiration for their women’s and men’s wear collections from Japanese culture, fairy tales, science fiction and other subjects.
Creative Week spanned all the media and arts subjects at the College including art and design, dance, games development, film, music and styling for stage.
Exhibitions of work and live performances were held at the College’s Uxbridge and Hayes campuses. Short films were shown at Regent Street Cinema in central London as part of a project run with the University of Westminster.
Simon Clark, Head of Creative Studies at Uxbridge College, said: “The standard of work has been incredibly high this year and the show as a whole our biggest ever.
“There is a huge amount of energy and creativity at Uxbridge College and it is a real tribute to our students and staff to see the quality of the work produced.
“With so much competition for jobs these days, our students can feel confident they are in a very healthy position when it comes to proving they have got what employers want.
“I am also delighted to see a good proportion of young people going on to university and other higher education courses as a result of their achievements here.”
