Entry Requirements

5 GCSEs grade A*-C (grade 9 - 4) including English and art & design, or a relevant Level 2 qualification at merit or above.

You need to show a varied portfolio of creative work and attend an interview.

Course Content

Topics include:

  • 2D and 3D communications
  • contextual studies
  • painting
  • print making
  • model making
  • graphics
  • textiles.

As well as studio-based lectures you will visit galleries and museums. In addition you are given the opportunity to get involved in widening participation university programmes, live briefs and work placements.

Where next - Further Studies

Progress from the Diploma in Art & Design to the Extended Diploma and after completing the Extended Diploma you can progress onto a higher education course.
