Who is the course for
This course has been designed for students interested in pursuing a career in programming for games applications. The course provides a basis for further training and higher education or for moving into employment. Students can develop the skills, knowledge and understanding, that underpin a range of occupations in this industry.
Games programming is both competitive and challenging. Using the standard BTEC Level 3 units, we have added the specialist games development and computer animation units to develop a games development pathway. You will be given the opportunity to develop your own games throughout the course.

You will learn industry standard languages such as C++, and you will build a solid understanding in various aspects of computing.
In addition to this, the course will provide you with the personal and organisational skills required to ensure you can offer a complete package to the potential employer or educational institute.

You can progress onto the Level 5 HND Diploma in Interactive Media at Uxbridge College or a degree/HND Diploma at university.
