Who is the course for
This level is ideal if you want to develop your knowledge and skills in order to progress in your career. You can study both Hair and Beauty which will allow more employment opportunities.
Start your career in hairdressing and beauty and help others look fantastic and feel confident. Learn both theory and practical skills in our professional salons. On the practical side gain an understanding of cutting and colouring hair as well as manicure treatments, nail art and eyelash/brow treatments. You will also learn the theory side including health and safety procedures and how to conduct customer consultations.

How is the course assessed
You learn at College through practical sessions, group discussions or assignments. You'll have access to a realistic hairdressing environment where you'll practise and demonstrate your skills. You will be assessed by tutors and assessors, using assignments, practical hairdressing tasks and online tests.

Level 3 Diploma in Women’s Hairdressing, Level 3 Technical Diploma in Womens Hairdressing, Level 3 Diploma in Theatrical, Special Effects Hair & Media Make-Up or onto an Advanced Apprenticeship in Hairdressing.
Where next - Job Opportunities
You could gain employment in a hairdressing salon, hotel, department store salon, health hydro or on board a cruise ship. You could work towards opening your own salon or become a technician for a large company within the industry. This qualification could lead to a job as a hairdresser working in one of the following establishments:
