Entry Requirements

4 GCSEs grade D (grade 3) or above including core and additional science, English and maths, or a Level 1 science course with GCSE grade D (grade 3) or above in English and maths. A satisfactory reference may be required.

If you have a passion for science this exciting course will give you the skills and knowledge needed to take your studies further.

Course Content

Units include chemistry and our earth, energy and our universe, applications of chemical substances, the living body, biology and our environment, chemical analysis and detection and science in medicine.

Some students also study additional GCSEs in mathematics or English alongside this qualification.
