We are extremely proud of our Harrow, Richmond and Uxbridge Colleges (HRUC) graduates, who joined us for a well-deserved celebration at their graduation ceremony on our Uxbridge College Campus.
Together we celebrated with 66 former Harrow College and Uxbridge College students, alongside their family and friends who came to recognise their hard work and share in their extraordinary achievements.
The ceremony was filled with talent with students graduating with Higher National Certificates or Higher National Diplomas in Business, Computing, Digital Technology, Engineering (Mechanical and Electronics), and International Travel & Tourism, and our Performance students graduated with a UAL Diploma. These Level 4 and Level 5 qualifications are the equivalent of the first one or two years of university-level study and our students have benefitted from studying at our group of colleges to attain these high-level qualifications. Many of them have progressed onto top-up degree courses at university and some have taken their skills and knowledge directly into the workplace.
Dylan McTaggart, Group Principal and Deputy CEO of HRUC, highlighted this diverse range of talent, noting that alongside our students’ certificates, they have also
“gained excellent professional and practical skills during their time at HRUC, with many of our graduates already working in their dream career fields, or studying for their next qualification at university.”
HRUC's Chief Executive, Keith Smith, echoed these beliefs, stating that it is “an honour to see our hard working students blossom into extraordinary alumni. It is always our priority at HRUC to provide our students with an exceptional learning experience, allowing them to flourish academically, professional and personally.”
The evening also provided an opportunity to recognise our extraordinary teaching and support staff plus the family, and friends who have supported our students throughout their higher education journey and helped them to achieve and succeed. We look forward to hearing more about all of their exciting next steps in their bright future!
